The whole idea about buying a kit is that you have EVERYTHING together. That would include the pattern. I don't purchase kits - generally. Only did once - a McKenna Ryan - and it was A LOT more than $75 (she swallows hard thinking about it)

You say that the kit is from a book. The vendor is not allowed to copy the book.

Sounds like a way to get money from unsuspecting consumers. I'd pass on it.

It shouldn't even be called at "KIT" if it doesn't contain the pattern.

How great that you found the book. Have fun choosing fabrics. I'm very new to quilting and that is so hard for me.

I checked the book on Amazon.com and it is now on my wish list. Of course, every quilt book I look at seems to end up on that list.

Have a great evening and weekend.

this kit is for 85 bucks, maybe IT includes the pattern..

it is a beauty!

I would pass simply because most places that are reputable do include the pattern. In this day and age, our money needs to spread further and to have to spend more would cause me to lose my appetite.

I don't think that kits are a good deal. They have to charge more to pay someone to cut the materials for the kits. With all the free patterns available why would you want to buy a kit anyway? Unless you are taking a class and the teacher has the kits available with the pattern too. Sorry I am not a kit person.

I say... MOVE on and find another quilt and pattern you want to make. We Quilters are always finding somthing we like better down the road anyways. I would never pay that much for a kit unless of course, they are including all the backing fabric and batting for it too!
