I know every store's inventory is a bit different but do Walmarts typically carry Schmetz brand needles? I've never paid attention to what's in Walmart regarding notions. I'm trying to determine if a trip to Walmart will do or if I need to run all the way in to Hancocks.

I've seen them in WM here(Ohio). I don'tknow how much variety, Universal probably.

Their prices are fabulous - sure you have to buy in bulk but it's all good in the end. I'd rather pay more upfront, sometimes go in with some others on the order than to pay store prices... and they ship out quickly too ;)

all three stores around me carry them. Even the real crappy store (just so happens to be my local store) has them.

Yes my local WM does here in California. I have ordered needles direct from Schmitz, I think they came out of Chicago. best part, no shipping costs.

They do in Oregon. Just bought a nice assortment of types. The only one I didn't find was a double needle.

I use Organ needles - you can get 100 needles for about $15.00 - these are the needles that actually come with new sewing machines.

One in Brandon and Zephyrhills FL carries several sizes of them.

I buy them on e bay and they are MUCH less expensive

Yes, WM carries Schmetz, 5 pkg. needles in Universal & Embroidery. Just bought a pkg. for $2.97!
