Think we have all done that. Good luck, it will probably just the size you wanted to make lol.

I find it helpful to read the pattern twice at least.
The second time I highlight the steps so it will draw my attention to the important steps. I then sometime put post it notes on what has been complete or put sections in a paper plate and writing on the plate what has and is to be next.

I made YBR in a queen for my parents and loved how it came out. I did have strips left over as I recall though. It assembles quickly.

I have that pattern, and I think that the directions are confusing. Have not attempted to make it yet. I prefer diagrams that give me the overall setting and the blocks and the number of each, so that I have a better pic in my brain of how each step will fit into the whole. IMHO

Thanks everyone, I do think the pattern is confusing. Idid read a couple times. It is not very clear. Any way I will be OK wih it. I will only have the top done soon and I will not be puting together for a while. I cannot do that in my RV only sewings not bottom and batting. Ialready cut some more strips. The pattern says to circle the one you are making but I don't think that would have helped. LOL I will post a picture when top is done and remind everyone about--This is the one!

Maybe it will lead to Kansas - if you make enough road that is! :P

It is a pattern that I have highlighted parts and made notes on as the same thing happened to me once...only I was only making a baby size quilt so not too much adjusting necessary...you really have to read close and go 1 step at a time...hope you can end up with a beautiful quilt...or two if you have to go buy extra fabric.

See... This kind of thing scares me. I'm new to the quilting world and me and READING directions???? Not a good combination. I learned a long time ago, I am a visual learner. I have to SEE it. I can't just read it. Even if there are diagrams, that doesn't always do if for me. I think someone was nice enough to think of YouTube tutorials, JUST FOR ME! Cuz that is what does it for me.

Sorry this happened, but maybe it will all still work out:)
