If you carefully get right above them and CLAP...they always fly up. A little less dangerous and it works! LOL! I hope the pain goes away soon.

That sounds painful and I can relate to being a person doing stuff like that or worse. When you sew you have to be prepared to have sore hands with needles around. Hope it gets better quickly. Take care. Sue

That is what I usually do but this time I went to slap it and got the nedle instead.

Ouch. I'm sorry. That makes me cringe just thinking about it.

My very favorite ruler is 3" X 24". I used it to swat a fly and the ruler ended up in three pieces. I was able to get another ruler that size made. Now I'm sad to say, that ruler man is no long in business and I can't find anyone that makes rulers to custom sizes. I have since purchased a fly swatter.

My sewing machine is right under a window. I grab the spray starch and zap any flying bug. They fall down immediately.
