What size...width and length...do you make these bed runners? (ones for the foot of the bed).
I know I could make a size of my own preference but what's the generally-accepted size?

I made one for my husband out of a jelly roll - we called it a foot quilt!!!!!! It kept his feet warm. It was about three feet wide (he was tall) and it hung over six inches on each side of the double bed. It does look neat on the foot of the bed over a bedspread. Edi

Heck of a Lot easier than a whole Quilt....

Bed runners make a bed look so beautiful. I have a pattern that I want to make for our bed and as my DH's feet are always cold it should work for looks and function. Apparently they are making a big comeback as I see them all over. One of the things I find intriguing about them is that they are smaller projects, as opposed to a king quilt, and will let me do some new techniques.
