Don't know the name
Is there a name for the 1/4 quilt that goes on the bottom of a bed?
|
Bed Runner
|
I've heard them referred to as bed runners.
|
Yes, they seem to be in vogue again. They are suppose to help keep your feet warmer.

i love the look of them, but i don't like the extra weight on my feet. but bed runners really dress up the room.

I kind of like the look of them, but they also make me think of hotel beds. They really seem in vogue in hotels.
I kick them off, I don't like extra weight on my feet. I can't even handle having the sheet tucked in at the bottom. |
I made one extra long and ran it down the middle of my bed in the guest room. It looks great as I have the bed linens all white. I can change it out with the seasons with different bed runners. Also the extra long runners can be used on the sofa or as a long overhang runner on the table. I get a lot of use from wider longer runners.

I'm going to make some Christmas ones. Great gift, can dress up any bed for the holidays smaller so easy to store. Like Onebyone said can be used for other things too! And faster than a whole quilt. Gotta love it

I'm planning on making some for my kids -- I bought them neutral bed spreads so I can make small quilts to showcase is the middle of the bed or bed runners at the bottom of the bed. They both have king size beds and I really don't want to make quilts that big!
