Just who decided that clear bobbins were a good thing???
When I drop them, I can't see squat - and that's WITH my glasses on.
Why don't they make them in colours, or metal again?

ROFLMAO!!!!! I can't see squat most of the time!!!! That's why I need a big Ott light right beside me in front of my machine so I can see when I'm sewing - you know the one that is the tall stand up one with the magnifier, positoned just right and then when I reach for something or have to adjust the fabric, I hit it and almost knock it over!! I grab for the pole and still keep sewing!

I can't take credit for the following. It was sent to me via email by my BQFF (best quilting friend forever) just yesterday. Could she be your long lost twin? --->

"Picked up where I left off last Sunday quilting a moldy, oldie. Ran out of bobbin thread, loaded another one and restarted. Realized the tension was way off. Ripped out back to the bobbin change. Fixed the tension and finished two passes on the quilt. Knocked over my Ott light and broke the bulb. Decided I'd had enough for the day. Went to JoAnn's to get a replacement bulb. Came home with crafter's gloves in a putrid green color, thread, small curved blade scissors, Ott light bulb for a normal lamp but no replacement bulb for the broken one. It's a good thing I brought my coupons, I got 40% off everything."

Some of the Viking machines have lovely colored bobbins.
I have a Sapphire 875 and it came with green bobbins and they also come in yellow, hot pink, red & dk. blue.

I agree with both of them. Especially when I am trying to sew some thing important and time consuming.

I keep my pins in a magentic paper clip holder. That way no spilled pins when bumped. Just shake them out. I use the larger holder.
About when you are ona roll and it is time to do something else like eat or sleep.
