What is up with everyone's posts appearing twice? Mine are only showing up once and I'm starting to get a complex over it!

I have to be really careful and wait a loooooong time or mine will double post.

Since the maintenance on Tuesday I have to sit and wait for computer to do whatever I am asking it to do. If not, dbl postings, etc. Before Tuesday, my computer was fast and never had to wait for qb to "catch up" with me. I have notice some posting 3-4 times about same subject. Assuming same thing happening to them.

Guilty!! Especially if you use the Quick Reply box...it's really slow. I think it didn't work & hit send again.

We have been inundated with double posts. There are a couple of issues with the board. We moderators are trying to clean them up a little if we can. Please just be patient!

I just deleted one of a double post and now I can't find the other. I hope that I did not delete both by accident!! :oops: :oops: :oops:

No Complaining! It will all be fine in the end! I just feel bad for all of the work you guys have to do to try to keep up with it.

Hey Gayle...nothing against the moderators - really! Ya'll do a great job....I was just feeling left out because none of my posts appear twice and everyone elses do! Thought maybe they were getting special treatment :lol: :lol: :lol:

I have not had any double posts either, so you are not alone.

I have had to wait longer for them to load, but I am patient, sometimes.

My problem is to get the message to send. I usually have to re-enter using Ctrl+Enter instead of the send button.

It probably has a lot to do with the speed the site is running at now. I figure it's running at maybe 20-25% of the speed we had before the "maintenance". I've been tempted to hit "send" again when nothing happens the first time, for like 15 seconds. If they ever get this site back up to speed again, I'm sure the multiple postings will disappear. People just aren't used to the long delays...

Truth is, our addiction makes us anxious and impatient!! :)

Sometimes I get a little impatient when they don't load as fast as the speed of light, and I hit send again. Oops, it makes a double. Patience, Sara, patience!

I think the Board will work out the kinks.

I think a lot of people are doing the same thing as I did. I didn't realize at first that lately it takes a long time for a post to go through and I thought I had not clicked the send button correctly so I did it again and ended up with a double post.

I haven't been on since the changeover but am having no problems this morning at all. Everything is working the way it always did for me....wonder if there are some gremlins out creating those problems for people. :wink:

Sorry it happens to me all the time. The button on my computer double clicks sometimes. When I try to go back I'll go back 2 pages or when I delete mail I'll delete 2 posts then I have to go retrieve the extra one from the deleted mail file.Sorry.

I found out also that I was too impatient and kept cliking and had a post for every click.

Sometimes I can't even get to the "reply" button. I am not complaining, though, because I have been doing other things while I wait. Even got my desk in front of the computer sorta cleaned off. Note "sorta".

Ditto! I only click send once and wait...I did once or twice hit send again, and it posted double. Sorry for that. Now I just hit is once and wait. It will post

I am happy to be patient and wait. We had an upgrade to our servers at work a while back and lost everything!!! We fought for a couple of days before we were running right and then had to manually update a lot!!! There are always "glitches". I am just so happy to have found this group of wonderful friends that a little wait is okay. It will get better. I have noticed that if it is a loooonnnggg wait sometimes if I hit "refresh" it gets to where I want to be.

Click send, then watch the status bar down at the bottom of your screen (if you have it enabled), right above the task bar. It will show the status of the message being posted. If you see the bar moving, it's "working", so don't hit "send" again. Just be patient. I know, I posted something THREE times yesterday because I wasn't watching.

I think the slow progress of the forum has people impatient and thinking the send button didn't work the first time, they click on it a second time.

The uptake has been so slow that it leads one to believe that the send button didn't work, so they hit it again. Sure wish they would get things speeded up a little.

I'm not complaining. I'm THANKFUL that the Board is up and running!! THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!

I have a finger that stutters I guess. Like another post said I have to wait longer than I seem to when Ipost or end up with a double one. And I do not particualarly like my pic as the avatar so not happy to see it double. Take care.

My QB posted at 631am [4-3-11] I was finally able to read it at 645pm it kept saying Not Available and yesterday I wasn't able to type in messages on any subject-there was no REPLY/QUOTE areas and what is this Locked Out mean? and subject not avail.and or deleted -I've never seen any of these or dbl posts til after maint.Are they doing maint. on us if so its to late for outside help for me

Because when you hit the send button and it does not go than naturally you hit it again, wala...double posts. try it, it is easyl lOL just kidding

Since Tuesday's maintenance everything has been slow. You hit the send button and wait til you think maybe you didn't hit it and you hit it again. I'm not sure what's going on. Things sure are different now.

You don't have a twitch in your 'send finger' like the rest of us lately. It is taking longer to post right now, and I think some of us wonder if we hit the send button right......... :mrgreen:

It's this site for some reason. Just recently started happening. I even had one reply post 3 times last night...rediculous!

everybody just needs to watch the status bar down at the bottom of the screen. it moves showing progress of your posts uploading. watch for it to move, if it's moving, you hit the button and just be patient until it finishes. if you don't see the status bar moving at all, then your click of the send button didn't work. most times, you'll find that it did.
