This is the easiest way of doing the traditional DWR but it is NOT an easy pattern. I would suggest you try making a table runner then decide if you really want to try to make a King size quilt.

Having just completed one-I'm joining in on the Eleanor burns/Quiltsmart method. I'm an intermediate sewer, their way made me look like a genius. I did a test run first, decided it was doable and went to town on a queen sized one. I actually adjusted the Eleanor burns templates to use 2.5 strips and emailed them my pattern change, only to find out they have done the same and are coming out with a new template to fit jelly rolls. PM me with any questions! Test and final quilt took me about 8 weekends this summer-it's at the LA right now.

Rings that Bind by Cheryl Phillips is the easiest IMO. I watched the video on Kaye Wood TV and ordered the book and all 3 templates. The first block I made was easy and looked great. It just got easier after that.

I'm surprised no one had suggested Inklingo.

I used the Accuquilt Go die and found it very easy to put together.

Judy Neimeyer has one that is paper pieced. I have the bed runner that I am going to attempt before doing a quilt.

I made one with directions from rings that bind. It was a QAYG.

I am in the process of making one using the Accuquilt Go dies and watch Ebony Love's tutes. It is a slow process, but I do like the way it is coming along. I have had to put it on the "back burner" for now as it is time to work on Christmas gifts. This is my second DWR. I don't remember which written directions I used for it, but on that one I cut all the pieces by hand using dies. I find the Accuquilt Go was much faster and I am enjoying the process much more.

Lubstoquilt301, that was only your THIRD quilt?? It is beautiful, and that quilting is very impressive. Nice work!!
