Double Wedding Ring..what is the fastest/easiest way??

I am going to make a king size DWR quilt. What do you ladies think is the fastest, easiest way to make one?

I know there are several ways, this will be my first time for the DWR.

Thanks so very much.

Susie

Do you have the Accuquilt Go? They have a die to cut out all the pieces and you an choose between the solid arch or the pieced arch. Also the pieces have the notches to match to help it go together. I have not made one so can't tell you if one is better than the other.

Hi I am slowly working on a quiltsmart version. I took a class to get tips but there are plenty of videos on YouTube for it. It is pretty easy just takes a lot of steps.

I had Katie Flynn (I don't know her married name) laser cut the pieces. Even so, it was not a picnic to piece. My mother is in process of hand-quilting it. If you want something fast, DWR probably isn't it. I think the solid arch wold speed it up greatly. Hope you find a good answer that will work for what you want.

I agree there is nothing fast about a DWR! Solid arcs and solid centers are going to be easier. I am working on patterns for 23" DWR because I wanted something faster! Ha ha ha ha! Even at that size.... there is nothing fast about a DWR!

Quilt in a Day. Look at the video under Egg Money Quilts. Use the Quilt Smart interfacing. It goes pretty quickly.

Rings that Bind is the fastest but it takes a lot of fabric. Here is a demo video but you can't make it just watching the video. A lot of important steps are left out. http://phillipsfiberart.danemcoweb.com/ringsthatbind/

I found it was only quicker if you do the solid arc. I used this method with the pieced arc and next time, (wedding coming up in late 2015) I will do it without the quiltsmart. Just how it worked for me. :)

I did mine the E. Burns way. You make the arches and then sew them to white squares. I like hand sewing. This was prolly about the 3rd quilt I made. It is queen size and I quilted it on my Janome using stencils and a blue marking pen that washed away.

Metro Rings (uses curved ruler) looks like wedding ring and it is not too hard... made 2 and love them.
