Shelly,
Do you have a picture of the quilt you describe? I'd love to see it! |
Frame each and make a quilt...sew easy

I second this! I picked up the book at a used book store a couple of months ago . . . it's definitely on my list of favorite quilt books now. Outstanding ideas and inspiring pictures. If you can, find a copy at a store or the library and check it out. I have a big stack of blocks from various swaps over the last few years and this book will be so helpful in putting them together in successful ways.

I'm going to make potholders of all my "practice blocks". Should end up with a variety of fabrics and designs.

I'd frame the blocks and make a quilt from it.
Lay out a few different colors of fabrics for a border and see which one flows better. |
I have a lot of grocery bags that I like to use and hate to advertise for everyone that I have to buy the bags from, so I put a 12 in block on each side, over the advertising, and keep a bunch in the car all the time for the shopping trips. I especially love the bright green bags with some of my "bright" quilt squares.
