I read the article. How sad that someone had thrown these quilts away and how wonderful that they were rescued by someone who appreciated them. There should be a place to send unwanted quilts so they can be forwarded to loving homes!

So glad they were rescued.

I will never understand how people can just throw anything that was made with love in any generation!

Love the story. Why would anybody through away a quilt?

It is stories like this that makes me keep my eyes open for a chance to help someone. I know when I am gone our kids won't care about many of our keepsakes.

What a great idea!

"There should be a place to send unwanted quilts so they can be forwarded to loving homes!"

I still have a beautiful braided rug that I pulled out of a dumpster about 8 or 9 years ago. Brought it home, washed it up and have used it ever since! Just don't understand why people do what they do.

Such beautiful pieces of history!!! I wonder if the people who threw the quilts away saw the newspaper article.
