I found a link for placemat free downloadable directions. It could easily be stretched into a table runner I think.

Yes, that's perfect. This template method would definitely be easier than the method that I used.

Thanks Gail and Gramto4. Good stuff out there on the net. This type of tablerunner works up fast.

I have this pattern that I can sell you for $4. Please let me know if you would be interested.

Here is a tablerunner using this pattern I made just recently for the fall tablerunner swap.

Do you still have this pattern for sale?
Thanks,
Nancy

Quilter711- No, I did sell it a few months ago. I have seen it in a few quilt stores recently - I know it's about $9 in some places but it is one that you would probably get good value from, because you could use it over and over again. Another alternative is to take a look at the links two of our members posted earlier. I'm pretty sure that they contain useful instructions without having to buy the pattern.

Jennie, Thank you so much for responding. I found the ruler on overstock.com for $13.95 including shipping! I am going to try one of my LQS for the pattern. I really like this pattern a lot and will probably use it many times. Thx for all you help!

After reading info on this thread, I looked for fabric to try this. Since I couldn't find any I liked locally, I made my own stripes, using fabric from my stash. Interesting how this can work. It is not as quick as buying the fabric, but fun to see the results.

Some of these 'free' patterns on a fabric website are only available for free for a limited time (usually one year) then the rights go back to the designer.
