I tell people I'm happiest when in front of my sewing machine just working away. They don't like it?? Tough!

Quilting is my therapy, my creative outlet, and my recreation. I am happiest when I am dreaming of quilts. I can never have enough fabric, but now I finally have a "mental governor" that tells me to stop shopping for a while. When I have finished a quilt, then I start drooling over new fabrics, even though I have enough stash to make probably 2 dozen queen quilts and about 50 baby quilts.

weezie -

I know what you mean - BUT - you sound perfectly normal to me(lol). You clearly fit right in here.

This will make you smile. The LQS owner asked me to help her with her computer and her IQ. She asked me what I would charge - I smiled - I told her "fabric"!! You can never have too much.

WOW!! That was easy. I usually self-medicate with more sewing/quilting. My mother tells me I enjoy my quilting group more than anything else I have joined since I started staying with her. In theory, when you use one piece of your stash, you must replace it with at least two new pieces. It is the fault of the fabric companies -- they keep coming out with new patterns/designs. So ladies, we are the victims. Stashs are very necessary to the economy, we are keeping people employed.

Yikes! I'm relieved that I'm not alone! If you had tried to tell me I would feel this way about sewing ANYTHING a few years ago...I would have died laughing! I'm more of an outside kinda girl...but oh, my gosh...who knew that now I'd be scheduling around when I can sew and what my projects are??/!!!!   I can SURE identify with ya'!
