I've thought about buying EQ 7 but... well, I'm a procrastinator and...

I'm sure it's a wonderful tool/toy. If you have a hard time deciding on a quilt design and/or fabrics, does having EQ7 make it easier or harder to decide?

Does the time you spend designing always result in an actual quilt, or is it possible (likely?) that you could spend a whole LOT of time just designing and re-designing and never actually ... sewing anything?

I have both. I can't imagine designing without a quilting program. QuiltPro is by far my fav. It will also import fabrics easily.

Went to my cousin's to test drive EQ6, Loved it. Came home and ordered it (eq7) this morning. Quilt In A Day has it on sale and free shipping. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I wish I could drive over and help you! I agree, it is not an easy program to learn (and I was a computer programmer for 30+ years!). But, once I understood a few of the basics I was off and running - it is great fun and a great tool for auditioning fabrics in your design.

So far, I have only designed what I PLAN on sewing. However, I can design much faster than I can make a quilt and so I have a dozen or so quilts that are waiting to be made!
