I never knew they sold class quilt cabinets. What a great idea. Something I need for Christmas, I have the perfect place for one. What a wonderful husband to be thinking of your wife, very thoughtful and she will be so happy. Also thanks for the good idea.

We have dogs and cats, so she keeps the quilts put away. She doesn't want them to get ruined by the animals. Even tho it bothers her a great deal that she cannot display the quilts for all to see.
Thanks

You're a special husband to be so intuned to his wife's desires and concerns. I'm sure she is going to be so happy when she receives your wonderful gift. Oh, and welcome from Arizona and I'm glad some of the gal's were able to stir you in the right directions.

Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Here is one at JC Penney. There are thousands out there. Try googling "glass quilt rack" , "enclosed quilt rack" and "glass quilt display case". You will find many beautiful ideas.

Ooooh that one from Penny's is so pretty. I 'm not looking for one but wanted to check it out anyway. Great idea.

Kerry's Kollectibles 1218 Industrial Dr New Braunfels,Tx 78130 830-692-3922 www.quiltcurio.com
They are solid Oak and beautiful. I would guess he ships them but I know at the shows they run $250. up but are well worth it.
Check them out. kjym Kathy

I am so glad you posted this. I bought a cabinet from Kerry's Kollectibles at the Houston Quilt Show in the mid 90's. I love it and so many of my friends have asked where to purchase and I could never find the site. I even asked at the quilt shop in New Braunfels this summer and they didn't know. I am so excited that I can now pass this information on! Just reconfirms that this is the best place to find information. Thanks again.

What a wonderful idea for you to try and find one for her to display the quilts. You should get lots of answers here or you can google it.

There is a gentleman here in Kansas that makes an enclosed hanging quilt rack and also the kind of trunks that are glass that you can fold your quilts into. I've e-mailed a friend to find out this gentleman's name and phone number. His trunks and quilt racks are gorgeous and he can make them from several different kinds of wood.

How about a curio cabinet?

I just jumped on to Craigslist & spotted a glass shelf unit that would work perfect for displaying quilts for only $20.00. You may want to check that out in your area.

AS an alternative, a china curio could be found at thrift shops, unclaimed furniture store, antique shops, etc. Many quilts can be folded and stored in those.

OOPs! I failed to read the posts just above this one.
