I didn't know either so I checked the quilt acronyms site given earlier and it says:

PIGS = Projects in Grocery Sacks

Karla, I'm with you when it is students. Personally, I don't use them a lot, but for some stuff on here or when chatting I use a few.

Barnbum, I'm not a teacher, but I do have an appreciation for words being correctly...and fully... spelled out, thanks to a one of my teachers in high school who was a stickler for good spelling and grammar. She was very good as explaining the differences in words that sounded alike, and also about punctuation and grammar. I keep saying that, in my next life, I'm coming back as an English teacher with an emphasis on spelling, grammar, and punctuation...and find a way to make learning it fun! (But quilting will still be my stress-buster!)

I love acronyms and have fun trying to figure them out. But I had no idea what PIGS stood for and had to look it up. I think I know what the LMAOSHIPMP may stand for:

Laughing my a** off so hard I peed in my pants

Did I come close?

I need to come here often to check on what I am missing out on! I am better at spelling things out also. I'm a former teacher, with High School teachers who would not accept U. S. on papers, it had to be spelled out completely! And our state names needed to be spelled out. This was WAAAAAY before computers and word processors, even before Wite-out! When we had to type on a manual typewriter and use carbon paper and I made lots of typos! :?
