Extra Lighting for Machine

Any suggestions for extra lighting on a sewing machine? I have a clamp-on florescent light, but I am looking for something I can aim at my sewing needle and light up the area under the throat plate a little better. Pictures or websites would be great.

Thank you,

I just went on Amazon and found the tiny string of LED lighting with on/off switch that had the reviews/price I wanted. This is the one I bought and I'm just thrilled with it...of course, the supplier can change, so the lighting might not be as good now. The LED strip has adhesive backing to affix to your sewing machine.

Also, when buying replacement bulbs for your machine, if possible, get the frosted bulbs even if they're a lot more expensive. They diffuse the lighting, making it less shadowy.

I have the Machine LED kit (Dimmable) - great light and not expensive! I saw one on a machine in a quilt shop about 5 years ago and was sold!

I’ve actually had a couple Bendable Bright Lights in the past, but the arm part always ends up loose and not very positionable in a very short time.

I purchased an Ott sewing machine light that I like with a 60% off coupon at Joann's. I like that I can move it between machines or use it as a stand-alone. It attaches with 3M command strips and can use a USB or batteries for power. I also pulled it out during a recent power outage. :-)

I put a double strip of LED lights on mine and it really helps. I just cut it to the length required.

I have the LED strip that you stick onto the roof of the harp of your machine. It's been stuck there for about 3 years and it has never come unstuck and still works great.

My last trip to Costco I bought a lamp that is quite flexible. https://www.costco.ca/ottlite-led-de...100504760.html

I also have this lamp, https://www.costco.ca/ottlite-space-...100495303.html This one has a magnifier

I have another 2 OTT lamps I have bought over the years. One has a battery, but the battery no longer holds a charge. But it works will plugged into an outlet.

I just bought a desk lamp to set on left side of machine to see to oil race and replace bobbin. Helps a lot.

I have a pole lamp with 5 bulbs on the right side. I can aim them where I need them.
