Sorry, but I couldn´t bottle this any longer have been waiting on Izy to come on the Board but she hasn´t so I have just GOT to tell you all.

Today we heard that when Rachel (who started this club)went to tell the Mayor we had raffled the quilt and were going to give the monies collected to 2 Childrens Homes here in Spain and could he please present the quilt to our Winner, he said of course. However he then went on to tell Rachel that two of his ladies who work in the Town Hall went to our show and took pictures, they showed him the pics and he was so impressed it has been organised that instead of just presenting the quilt in the local town hall they are going to present it at Torre del Mar Town Hall AND we are having the TV, Radio and newspapers there to. Isn´t that just the "bees knees". We are all really thrilled.

Thats real nice of you Harmony. This is the first time we have raffled a Quilt as we have been going for just over 1 year now, but we have 3 more crib quilts on the go for charity. If you look again on the Pictures of our Exhibition there is a quilt showing with little houses on it all different colours and we have been making the houses to go on these quilts they are really cute to do.

Are quilt shows unusual in Spain?

Well, there are not many around this particular area, they have them in Sitges, Barcelona, Madrid and in other large cities. There is a 3 day Show in Sitges next February and some of our Group are going, I may go but am not sure yet. As we live in small villages here it was quite an event.
