Here the fabric I came up with for the Labyrinth class next week. My daughter likes purples and greys. It was hard finding the two colors locally. I hate ordering batiks online you never know what they look like until you get the order.

luvstitches 10-19-2011 09:56 AM

Looks great! I can't wait to see the end result.
I think they are nice color choice.

I bought the same purple chicken wire batik and the lighter lilac batik to do a Hawaiian applique quilt. I bought them both online from Pacific Rim.

My mother just made this quilt in July for my SIL, it worked out beautifully, and following the pattern it was so easy to put together! The biggest WOW was using contrasting colors that really made it pop. We only used 3 colors-light and dark values for each part of the frame were the same (colors 1 & 3 were dark green and 2 &4 were pale orange batik) with a cream background. We really loved the result-would do it again!

crafterrn1 10-20-2011 07:10 AM

Nice colors maybe one more light would work. Just a thought!

unclefreckles 10-20-2011 07:12 AM

I love the colors!!

labtechkty 10-20-2011 07:25 AM

I have that pattern, can't wait to start on it...PLEASE post your thoughts on the pattern ie is it easy, difficult...lol...I have to finish my son's wedding quilt before I start this one...can't wait to see your progress... I wanted to add that I saw a completed quilt in LQS on one of my shop hops and it was just beautiful...

Blinkokr 10-20-2011 08:03 AM

Look great to me, your going to love it.
Have a Blessed day

I just did the class with Debbie Maddy in El Dorado, Arkansas...it was a lot of fun and picked up a number of tips for HST!!! The colors are really nice...good luck and have fun.

Jeananne 10-20-2011 11:42 AM

I bought the pattern and have picked out the fabric, now just have to decide what goes where!

one-and-only 10-20-2011 02:57 PM

Your colors look fabulous, wish mine looked that good. Looking forward to seeing it.

quiltingshorttimer 10-20-2011 03:25 PM

I love the 2nd and 4th from the right--I'm collecting fabrics (17) for a king size Jinny Beyer Navaho sunset quilt for my son and fiancee--he wants green and tan, she wants teal and violet/purple--the greens are ones that are almost teal and no problem with the teals, tans but the the violets have been a total pain! Either too purple or too brown or too red---I really like yours!

bjchad 10-20-2011 03:31 PM

Lovely fabrics. The finished quilt will be gorgeous sure.

joann hussey 10-20-2011 03:49 PM
