This is why I'm glad that I LOVE scrappy quilts...I will go on Fabric.com and buy just a half-yard of all the lovely fabrics I can't live without. It's still hard to get away from that site without spending at least a hundred bucks though. They just have SO MUCH COOL STUFF! LOL

I justified it by deciding that I needed some colourful pink quilt backs for some baby girl quilts that I am making. I added some backing for baby boys, backing for a kit that I have coming in the mail, and a black and white stripe that I want to use for binding some baby quilts.

I've never subjected myself to a fabric morotorium, but I see that many people adhere to the "only buy more fabric if I need it for a specific project" rule. Since I know where all these are going, it's allowed, right? Because the armoir where I keep my stash is jammed and I have no place to store this new yardage that's on its way...I just want someone to tell me it's OK. :)

So, to pass this temptation around you just had to post on here about their good prices? Just joking!

I threw my Hancock's catalog away. And I need to throw the Connecting Threads away too!

WTG, MaryMo! Just my kind of woman! I buy shoes quite often, but at thrift shops and spray them with Lysol,

I like to look at stocking up on fabric, like those folks who stock up on food and water for the "just in case". My husband and I are federal employees, because of sequetration, our hours at work are going to be cut 20% beginning (each) at the end April and last for at least five months. DH wanted me to stock up on T.P. and hamburger~but alas I have quietly been stocking up on fabric!!!!!!! Shhhhh ...don't tell....we may have to use the scraps as TP!!!!

IT'S OKAY!!! I will never tell someone they cannot buy fabric. You deserve it. As soon as the tax money gets here, I am treating myself, because I deserve it too. :-)

Oh my dear ladies, thank you for your support!!! I do have other vices besides fabric (food, shelter and keeping my two kids in university to name 3) but I love getting that package in the mail containing new creative possibilities. THANKS for telling me it's OK! I feel much better now. :o

Hmmmmmm, I'd better check this out, LOL. Thanks for the information.

I get the email, go to the site, add a bunch of stuff to a design wall, consider all my choices, then empty the wall and go on about my day. Of course if I'm in the mood to spend money - then into the cart it goes. I'm the same way in a retail store. Will walk around clutching some prize for an hour, then put it back and leave the store. Sometimes I just can't pry open my wallet (then again, once open all my money fights to get out) Completely unpredictable.

I, too, got the email and couldn't resist the tempation, even tho I really don't need any fabric. I only spent about $85. My DH and I went out to dinner at Outback Sunday and we spent $45 on two dinners. I just figure I won't go out to dinner a couple of times and it will pay for the fabric I bought. That's my justification and I'm sticking to it.
