If it bugs you, applique something over it. A lot faster than replacing it.

I do that on purpose, and turn them sideways, and upside down and right side up, especially for children. That way there is always some blocks right side up no matter how you have it over you.

Oh, I've done that too! I agree that you should ignore it. Quilts don't need to be perfect to be loved.

After getting the top all sewn I realized my problem. Has this just happened to me or has this happened to any of you out in QB world. I decided to not correct the problem, a quilter friend tried to talk me into fixing the problem that would take labor intense work. Any ideas from you quilters out there? the quilt is at the machine quilter as I type. By the way my husband saw the problem right away! Imagine that! I thought he wouldn't notice this oversight. I mentioned I could fix it but it would take me away from spending quality time with him, he said ignore it!

Should be your decision. If it bothers you enough, vix it. If not, don't. You could always tell your hubby that square was for looking at while he's getting into bed.

Just declare a one block penalty on yourself and continue on!

I agree. It would only bother me if it were for a wall hanging or something else which would only be viewed one way. I always plan my blocks/images going in all directions on bed quilts. I prefer that it can be put on the bed with either end at the headboard, and that it has images facing all directions.

Definitely keep it the way it is. Your hubby loves it, so that's enough. But also, quilters in, "them good old days," used to purposely put a block in their quilts that wasn't right, upside down, etc. It was supposed to signify that the maker of the quilt was less than perfect. (As mentioned above, only God is perfect.)

just tell him when his head is down .arms straight ..knees bent ..eye on the ball ....the rest of the quilt is upside down that block will be right side up
