I love my accu cut I had shoulder surgery and it is a good help to me, you still have to turn the crank but the strips are all equal in size and that makes a great difference. I have had it for a few years and it is the only board I have is for strips'I am no longer a spring chicken so appreciate the help.

The Simplicity came today and is already packed for return!! I tried for 2 hours. Everyone is correct even though I read some "happy" reviews. Actually put a new blade in my rotary cutter and used my old Shape Cut and whistled right through 500 strips!

Thanks again everyone!!

If you have shoulder pain when using the Go, try lowering the height. My PT guy showed me that the Go should be about hip level to use and your shoulder should never be raised when turning the handle.

I tried different heights with the Go and still had shoulder pain. I sold it and got a Big Shot Pro. No shoulder pain at any height. I love it. Definitely NOT a budget friendly option though. I was lucky to get a good price but even at the good price it was expensive.

I just read all your suggestions which will help me research more on the cutters available.

When you visit some quilt shops they have an electric cutters. Can they be used for accurate cutting for patchwork? It's an idea.
A friend has her husband do all the cutting for her. Could a friend do it for you a swop of talents.

I agree with TeresaS, I let people use my Studio for free if they purchase their fabric from me, and at a nominal charge if they bring in their fabric from other sources. I even offer to cut for them at a reasonable charge. I have a lot of older customers that are battling arthritis also and cannot use the rotary cutter, but can still sew as well as ever.
If you should decide to go with a GO cutter, I would not go with the Baby. The GO can use larger dies and will be able to cut more strips per run through. The Baby die has only 2 - 2 1 /2" cutting strip areas which will limit you to 6strips (3 layers WOF) , whereas the GO has 3 cutting strip areas. This would give you 9 strips per run thru. It doesn't sound like a lot until you are cutting 30-40 strips for a pattern.
You could even let your grandkids or neighbor kids turn the handle for you, saving your hands even more.

I personally tear those kinds of pieces. It assures me that the grain is straight and I can tear yards and yards.

Get the Sizzix Big Kick, $59 from Amazon and it can use Accuquilt Baby dies. Handle turns easy peasy and I love it!
