When you purchase 2-3 yards of the same fabric, do you cut it down into 1 yard pieces or in half so it is more manageable to cut? Or does this cause more scrap?

I don't cut mine into smaller pieces though when I was trying to iron 10 yards a couple of months ago, I was wishing I had!!!!

I usually just fold it or roll it up and only cut what I need. I would be sick if I cut it in half and then came up just a few inches short on a piece!

I know that feeling!

I don't because knowing me ... I'd cut it too short  If I were going to cut it down, I'd be sure to cut any binding and sashing first.

I don't cut any of my fabric until I need it. My luck falls into Murphy's Law. :)

I wash & put away, don't cut until needed.

All is washed as soon as it comes into my home. Then it's ready to go when I want to sew.

No cutting, til I know what it's for ...... otherwise, would have two pieces, two small!

No!! Do not cut until you know for sure what you are doing with it!!!
