I'm interested in the comic book boards to get my fabric organized (if possible! LOL) I googled "comic book boards" and several sites came up. I just want to order from a reputable site. It seems as if Amazon actually does the fulfillment for some of the sites. If anyone can recommend a particular seller or sellers, please PM me. Thanks so much!!

I get the empty bolt boards from the LQS (free), cut them in half, fold fabric in half lengthwise, and wrap. I keep them on large baker's racks. FQ's in plastic 3-drawer unit, cut scraps into strips, squares, etc. Store them in bins by size. Took me 2 months to get it all done but SOOOOO worth it!!
Are we all smart or what?????????????? Edie |
Organizing is great!

Wow! Sounds great. On my to do list.

in case any one is wondering the small comic book boards are 6 3/4 x 10 1/2 and the bigger ones are 8 1/2 x 11, and both take quite a bit of fabric, it's not worth it for FQ it's waste of cardboard:)

i have a habit of bringing home fabric on the bolts, when the shop/store is willing to part with them. hubby finally gave up and built me a cart, on wheels, that's 36"wide, 48"long, and 36" deep, and i stand them in there. it's nice to have, because i sometimes am guilty of "traveling" in the house with my machine under my arm, and a project that won't fit in the little sewing room. then that cart just pulls along behind me. he's such a good guy...

Isn't it wonderful to be able to organize your fabric on boards. If anyone wants fabric boards that are heavier than comic boards - search "Easy Cores" on this site. They are heavier than comic boards, acid free and priced much less than clothtides. (and free shipping). Happy wrapping - always love the way they look when they're wrapped up and on display.
