I have "heard" that cotton fabric will be "going up" - I guess this means that I will actually have to USE my stash!!!!!!

Just received an email from one of the local shops advertising a new line by Moda and the price is $11.49 a yard. This is the first time I have seen a price at $10 or more.:)

Sure cuts into being able to purchase for the stash. won't be happening:)

I ordered material from the internet and had it posted to me in SA, the same piece of material at our quilting shop was almost double the price i had paid, so we are way over #11.49 here if you do the conversion

www.thousandsofbolts.com
is another good fabric website.

I am not a big fan of ordering on line. I like to feel the fabric. Since you suggested this site, can I assume you have ordered and are happy with the quality?

I stopped into my favorite LQS yesterday for a piece to finish a quilt. 11.99 a yard for this piece of batik. Good thing I had a 40% off coupon.

Time to start doing more fabric shopping at Goodwill and yard sales. Large men's shirts, skirts and dresses cut apart yield a great deal of reusable fabric for very little cost.

I have ordered several times from Thousands of Bolts. She

How much to make a quilt? it adds up, pattern, fabric, batting thread,oh, I forgot labor. Its the greatest hobby and so rewarding but you can't sell them. Enjoy
