I would not have thought about the plaid but I LIKE it. A narrow dark green border would look nice and seperate the blocks from plaid.

Agreed -- narrow green border (or maybe a folded flange) and then the plaid.

i prefer the green. the plaid is too busy for the busy quilt.

Just don't think the plaid is right for your quilt, so go for the green or some other color in the quilt since the quilt is small it would not cost that much more for material.
