I would love to see the old red and green Christmas colors. I do not use the new dark red and dark green. Hope someone in the fabric design business is watching this site.

Hey Everyone!
I know there is the buy, sell, trade thread on here... Perhaps we can start one maybe entitled "Wish List" that would have just fabrics that folks are looking for? I know myself I have fabrics I don't want/need and would love to find a home for? What do you all think?

RDM 04-09-2011 07:54 AM

More geared towards the older kids interests. Our guild does Ronald McDonald house quilts and there is always a lot for young kids but not teens.

Tone on tone fabrics..... just can't see to find them any longer and I love to use them for my background fabrics. White, beiges and all light tones!

Lord of the Rings. I had a request for a LOTR quilt and there was absolutely no fabric. I ended up designing something, but a little fabric would have helped. And I'm thinking any fabric with Viggo Mortenson and Orlando Bloom on it couldn't be bad.

Oh, and cheese, of course. Haha.

High Adventure. Not necessarily of people doing it - that may restrict some buyers, but the locations. Wild rivers, (canoe, kayak, white water rafting, anglers); Rock faces, (climbers, base jumpers, rappelling); subterranean splendor, (cavers, tourists). All would also be good for landscape quilts. Wilderness is already readily available for the camping and hunters.

If you are looking for novelty prints check out the web site for The Quilting Hen in Carter Montana. They have the best selection of novelty prints I have ever found.

I second this   Also...not just muscle cars, but Mustang cars of all ages. Can't find any with a Mustang car alone on it. :(

My Mom and Sister in law did find Raggedy Ann and Andy in Shipshewanna (sp?) Indiana last year. I think that they found it in Lollies while there. Mom knows I'm a huge fan, (have them tattooed on my leg) and brought some back for me. ;) (Lucky aren't I? :D )

Thanks for the tip...I will check them out. :)

:P :P

I agree. I have grandchildren who are runners and I have yet to find any fabric that shows runners.

I would like to see Ohio State fabric....can't find it anywhere (no fleece)...and with so many Buckeye fans, I have to resort to just basic red and grey...so boring.

This is poly-cotton blend, but that seems to be the only thing around. Someplace said that they don't license the logo for fabric any more except fleece. One lady bought a pair of curtains and cut them up for a quilt.

culturally sensitive fabric for children...children like to see images of themselves...how about some Native American, African American, Asian, Hispanic, mixed race fabric etc. I make children's quilts (for all ages)for Project Linus and this fabric is few and far between. If anyone has a site, pls let me know. thanks

Elvis fabric that looks more like Elvis with no neon colors. And no I don't have a desire to make one. Just something I have noticed when I have seen Elvis fabric online. jmo

Rettie V. Grama 04-10-2011 06:22 AM

Try Fabricdepot.com They have any kind of fabric you might want for your quilt. That is where I found the elephant fabric for a crib quilt.

Marvel 04-10-2011 08:28 AM

I really love anything with Pansies, and collect butterflies.

jeanmaire 04-10-2011 09:23 AM

I have several great nephews and friend's grandchildren who love
Robots. I also look for embroidery (machine) patterns for them.
They are in short supply.

Realistic feathers, realistic owls, realistic prints in any thing nature , Pagan themed......

mshawii 04-10-2011 02:39 PM

Just saw a full line of probably 12 different colors at a vendors table in Vancouver Wa. quilt show, so keep looking for it, as it is out there. Probably new on the market, because the vendors usually like to bring their newest fabrics to sell. Jan

tlcquiltnut 04-10-2011 02:43 PM

Western and horse fabric ....never enough of that. OH and dogs too...OH and CW fabrics....and........

Singerjr 04-10-2011 02:49 PM

I want to see Dr. Who fabric. As popular as the show is there should be fabric for those of us trying to make Dr. Who quilts.

grannyp70 04-10-2011 02:59 PM

Beautiful pastel florals, can't find any around here and see so many beautiful ones that others have made quilts from. For an example look at barnbum's floral log cabin on the board, that is what we are looking for.
