A while back someone asked the question, "What's the facination on collecting buttons?"

I have a button addiction-any size, color, old, new--doesn't matter. When we left GA a dear friend gave me her collection because she 'knew' how special that was to me.

I have a huge collection and have them separated by color in gallon sized square containers. I love them so much and always thrilled to take buttons from those that don't want them.

I have a very large button collection! Some in a large trunk. Some are bone, silver, copper, celluloid, steel, mother-of-pearl, blown glass, horn, plastic, tin, brass, ceramic (Satsuma) porcelain, china, etc. They are beautiful to me and are from all periods of time and very old and use for so many things... I enjoy them very much.

My sister is a button collector. She goes to a big button convention every year. She tried quilting once. Her quilt came out all wonky, not on purpose. She gave that hobby up and went to button collecting.

I saw a home decorating show on HGTV where someone made art by gluing pretty buttons on a board and framing them. It was pretty! It was for a laundry room but I think it would be pretty in a sewing room too.

Boy, would I like to see some of her artwork
