I had a quilt like that....it was taking so long to do....I just dreaded it. So....I decided that I would not let myself start anything else until it was finished....realized I was punishing myself and it wasn't helping. Finally, I put the quilt in the frame and assigned myself a mandatory 15 minutes of sewing on it each and every day, 7 days a week and then I could go on and do something different. What I found was that once sitting in the chair, I normally quilted more than 15 minutes but on those days where it really dragged....I put in the 15 minutes and then got up from it without any guilt. Soon it was just finished.

After you finish it you may want to put it away for awhile.

Then later on when you look at it you may have forgotten some of you stressors and find you actually love what you did.

Sorta like childbirth. After a very short while we focus on the baby not the birthing of the baby. And, we know, all babies are beautiful!
