For me anyway. My husband asked me to do a quilt for his co-worker that is having a baby boy. Initially, I was told that I had three weeks to complete it. No problem. Then on June 3rd I was told that I needed to have it on June 8th! I asked for quilting suggestions and I got some great ones.

What surprised me about this quilt is: It came together very quickly. All but a couple of my four patch points met - something I've never been able to make happen before. I totally fell in love with the quilt! I love the colors and the secondary pattern that the quilting created. I am thinking of doing another one for myself but with a different border.

All this being said, I do not plan to do have another 5 day quilt deadline.

Great job. The back looks as good as the front. I sure hope the little one's parents treasure it but let the baby use it.

Thank you. I hope they use it too. It was definitely made to be used.

Hi Quilt Girl - I did do the quilting myself. The quilting is a large grid crossing through the 4 patches. I'm not sure why the camera just picked up the one angle of stitching. Maybe the light or something. Then the plain patches are concentric squares. The same with the binding. It was easy. You should try it.

Thanks everyone for all the of the kind words and encouragement. I am convinced that it turned out so well because of everything that I have leared on this board,
