I bought FQs at a shop not too far from me recently and they were cut so "warped" that I ended up with 16 1/2 X 21 when I squared up the fabric. I was really mad!!! That would make me really mad, too. I wonder if someone is buying selvages from some quilt shops and that's why hers was cut. I'm not finding the selvage pieces in any of the fat quarters like I used to locally. |
Sharon,
Love the picture you are using-is that a pattern or did you make it up?

Yes, I purchased a pre-cut set (I think 5 FQs) and only knew that it was Henry Glass because I'm a bit obsessed with 30s at the moment. One of the 5 had an identifying selvage, visible AFTER purchase. I think it was the center one and the fold made it next to impossible to check before purchase.
These were purchased from JoAnns. |
