Thanks for the ideas, can't wait till they get here and I can get started on my quilts. Doncha love online shopping? 8-)

I don't know if you're aware, but there is a group of us online doing the Farmer's Wife quilt "together." We're doing two blocks a week, some are ahead, some behind, others almost finished and people who are just starting. Here's the link to explain what's going on:

Awesome - I'll have to check it out!

The Dear Jane has 169 blocks and 52 border triangles plus 4 corners for a total of 225. That would be a great quilt. :)

So your quilt would be a "yo yo " quilt then?

Count me in, I love this idea. I will just have to learn how to post a quilt block on here. ;-)

I think an "apple core" pattern would be good, I'd love to have a waist again!

OOh... how about buying a little extra of your FQ if you're doing the monthly challenge and doing all the blocks for the weight loss of that month with the fabric?

Like say a quilt with a blue color theme but with hints of your FQ fabric in it? And if you actually win the monthly challenge you go totally nuts little bits of each FQ you win?

Just an idea that popped into my head... but I'm sleepy so it might not make sense.....

I really like this idea. However, at the rate I'm going, all my blocks are going to be "invisible"! LOL!!

It makes all the sense in the world. I had said someplace on this thread if the themed fabric was use for the block that month you would be able to keep track of how many lbs you lost that month because it would be themed. Am I explaining that correctly. So if last month you lost 3 lbs and the theme was calico you would have 3 calico blocks. This month is Christmas FQ so if you lost 6 lbs this month you would have 6 Christmas blocks.

I would like to join this thread. I am happy that I started my diet about 4 weeks ago so I have to 'make-up' about 5.5 blocks. LOL. Can't wait to get started. Great idea!
