Are you asking for my favorite today or yesterday or the day before that? Aleays changing......

After 15 years of quilting, I still love the log cabin.
|
:-P Wanted to say Log Cabin, but there are so many. I don't think that I have seen a block that I didn't like. BrendaK

I really like them all. There's my old trusty block that I can whip up a quilt real fast - Churn Dash. :) But it depends on who I want to make a quilt for and what purpose which block I use.
|
Any and all applique blocks are favorites. Pieced blocks are pinwheel, Irish Chain and any basket blocks. Have many others I really like but guess these are my favorites.
|
I am not sure what I would say is my favorite block. I do like applique` flowers... and grandmother's flowers...
I did find this for those whose favorite block is the Weathervane... I like this block as well and think this would be great to have. I love stain glass. http://www.etsy.com/listing/69475004...ne-quilt-block |
I like the "Friendship" block..today.. Tomorrow it might be "The Star".
|
All kinds of stars

I guess I love anything with a half square triangle. So many things you can create with that. Love stars and I love to try out new blocks (a lot frm quilterscasche). The techniques that have been shared here have been great and so much fun to try and to make as you please! Thanks to everyone for that!!

I love the log cabin block. There are so many variations and different ways that you can set them to get different looks.

I really like the ROAD TO TENNESSEE. I think it looks striking when there are contrasting fabrics used. I am fairly new so joining a boom swap is helping expand my skills. I liked the KINGS CROWN TOO.
|
I haven't yet picked a favorite block. I am into trying many different ones. I do love the stars though.
|
What is the ribbon block? I noticed your mentioning it in the question about everyone's favorite block.
Would you mind posting a picture of it? Thanks, Mariah/Martha |
What may I ask is a Ribbon Block? Lisa
|
I love "Dresden Plate" and not sure why either.
|
It depends on the occasion.
For a new baby or for a sick friend needing a pick me up, I use a D9P or a Warm Wishes. Both are extremely simple and can become complex based on fabric placement. Weddings are always Lover's Knots I like samplers as well, depending on the recipient. I like to make dresden plates as well, appliqued on by hand in front of the tv. |
9 patches, because you can do so much with them. They go together so quickly!
