The most significant ''star'' for me is Georgia Bonesteel. I wasn't interested in quilting at all till I watched her PBS show one Sat. morning. That was in '89 and have been quilting and dyeing ever since. I also like Eleanor Burns, her methods produce accurate blocks easily. Met E at a show in Knoxville and felt like a starstruck teenager, she is gracious and was actually interested when I told her about a quilt design of hers I modified.

I LOVE Sharon, too. I had a class with her a few months ago and she is just a wealth of knowledge! I need to watch Jenny Doan's u tubes and find out more about her. I thought about taking her paper piecing class on Craftsy.

I agree! Saw Eleanor at Houston International Quilt Show last year...she was a hoot!! My first quilt was her trip around the world...She signed a pattern and bag for me and took a picture with me as well..quite a lady..very down to earth!

I've met Eleanor Burns a couple of times at the Houston Quilt Festival and she is WONDERFUL. I have a book that was signed by her but I've been unable to find it recently. :( She is witty and very down to earth. I just love her.

Alex Anderson's books taught me to quilt, so I have a soft spot for her as well, but I'm really not fond of Fons and Porter - they get on my nerves, and the daughter REALLY gets on my nerves. But I love their magazines. LOL

First and foremost I have to go with Eleanor Burns and Bonnie Hunter, then Jenny Beyer and Kaffe Fassett for their fabulous use of color, then Jenny Doan and Marguerita Mcmanus because they're fun to watch.

I learned a great deal from watching Alex Anderson. I watch Fons and Porter each week on PBS and have learned from them; but my absolute favorite is Jenny Doan. I love her presentation style and the quick, easy quilts she makes.

How can I pick one when they are all so marvelous in their own way? I love watching any of the televised as well as any quilter on the internet. Every one has their special talent, and when all put together, make any quilter love them!!

Love, love, love Jenny Doan!
