The first ruler I ever bought was a June Tailor 6x12 and it is still my favorite. I have several Omnigrip as they seem to be what's available at Joann's when I need a particular size but I find them more difficult to read than the June Tailor.

I prefer Omnigrip/Omnigrid rulers as all of the others just confuse me. They come in many different sizes and shapes.
I've been using them since 1992. |

I really like Creative Grids. I collected a lot of rulers I don't use anymore now that I've found Creative Grids.

This is an interesting site for Creative Grids rulers.
http://www.creativegridsusa.com/ Does anyone know when they became relatively easily available in the USA? |
My favorite are Creative Grid. I have used them now for about 3-5 years and usually do not buy other brands, but of course when I go to quilt shows I always get suckered in with some new gotta have rulers!LOL

I wish I had started with Creative Grid rulers... Easy to read and they have built-in non-slip dots that really hold the ruler in place.
Ditto to this! |

I started buy back decades ago Omnigrid and that is what I still have. I can't afford to buy a ruler that I already have. I like the Omingrip ruler for not sliding but the the backing does wear off.

I think the creative grids rulers are the best.

My favorites are still the Creative Grid rulers, especially since they have added better gripping. I have tried Olfas and Omnis and keep going back to the Creative Grids. I have a few other specialty rulers for other things.

I feel that the Creative Grids rulers are very "busy" - and require serious concentration when I use them.
