Favorite Scrap Pattern
I have boxes and tubs full of scraps. Plus my stash need to be thinned by 1/2 (ha ha ha). What's your favorite scrap or stashbusting pattern?

Bonnie Hunters patterns on her quiltville.com web site is filled with wonderful scrap patterns including a Blue Ridge Beauty . I just made a scrappy, you can see it on this thread:

my two favorite patterns and my go-to leader and ender projects:
String blocks (check out Maryquilts.com for info on string quilts and lots of free patterns) postage stamp ...lots of ways to set them. I agree with Jane- Bonnie Hunter's patterns are great! |
Anything by Bonnie Hunter.

I love MaryQuilts.com - she has some great options. I just started her 16 patch and four framed quilt (and wrote an article about it on my blog) using a jelly roll but it would also work well with your stash. I hope that helps!

Love your quilt Jane! I don't have a favorite scrap pattern. The last scrap clean out was 80 blocks involving massive half square triangles and another that was Jewel Box. I plan to spend some time on Quiltville and Maryquilts.

IMHO, the most impressive scrap quilts have strong changes in value, obvious lights and darks and the best patterns to show this off are log cabins or any of the LC variations (such as pineapple, courthouse steps, offset log cabin, etc).

My favorite scrap pattern is simple squares made into placemats. I only keep batik scraps, I'm a batik girl. I just sew either 2.5 or 2 inch squares together and birth them without binding, add simple quilting. I guess I've made about 50 so far. I keep them on hand. They are so easy to give away. Friends don't feel like they are taking something that required alot of work and they get used, not "saved" . Other fabrics go to the free table a Guild.
