I just bought one locally. It's in great condition, a really good case, but no extra feet. I paid $250, and was glad to get it. They are scarse as hen's teeth here!! That's probably close to what I would have paid on eBay including shipping, or probably a bit more there. So I'm happy with my price.

I see that you are from Ontario. I bought one in the Simcoe Shopper (lady lived in Barrie) for $125 this spring. It was in good condition, had a few attachments, decent case but had a replacement foot pedal (different style) and new manual. I usually see them listed in the $300 range so your price isn't ridiculous but if you are patient, you may do better. If you are interested in the machine I have, PM me.

I'm cracking up reading through this thread, because there was a Featherweight posted on my local Craigslist recently that was priced at $1,000! I said to myself, good luck with that one buddy! Supposedly it was found in Grandma's estate (and grandson must have thought he hit the motherlode).

I checked e-bay last night and there were several nice ones under $300.

We have an online auction site for local estate sales. A sale closed last night that included two featherweights. One went for $132.00 and the other for $182 dollars. I can only go by the pictures, but they looked to be in nice shape. The higher priced one had more attachments, and a new foot pedal. The lower priced one probably needed a new foot pedal, as the info stated that there was wear on the cords. I think two people got very good deals on these machines!

Thank you to everyone who helped me make up my mind. I am going to wait for one that is less expensive. I have several newer machines so am not doing without at the moment. Thanks you again. Carol

I think it varies in what part of the country you are in.
