My mother used the embroidery paint to make curtains for her kitchen windows. They held up great. She did bird of Paradise flowers just above the hem of the panels. Very pretty and so unique. I agree that you could make half square triangles and make a memory quilt. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

I would experiment with the liquid embroidery paint before doing anything "good". Be sure to shake it up well before using.

It's been years since I had mine, but I made pillowcases for the boys when they were little. Think they must have gotten passed on to new homes about 30 years ago when the guys got be teenagers. The pillowcases were washed frequently (at least every week) and the colors held up well.

I still have a little wallhanging that I had originally made for my MIL back then.

I would check the expiration date on the paint. Often doesn't last long. Like mom-6 stated, shake it well, really well. Test on scrap material. They do have a "thinner type liquid" to help make it more pliable. Just a drop or two works.

I have used embroidery paint in quilts and it lasts as long as the quilts do.

i used liquid embroidery on a quilt for my 24 yo granddaughter and it has held up fine. they still use it as a couch throw. it's been my experience that the paint dries out in the tube after a while and you might have to buy new now since it's been so long since they were used.
