I "think" ahead. Right now I am finishing up a Moon over the Mountain quilt but have my next one planned but not in the works.

Jump all you want. You need a few ufo's here and there.LOL
I always have more than one project going. That way I have something to do whatever the mood I'm in. |
I always have several going. That way, if I get tired of one, I switch to another. When one gets done, I usually have 3 or four that soon follows. I love it when I have to bind about 4 of them!!

Do whatever makes you feel goodd. at 83 years of age, I just take one hour at a time and if it is something I like, do it for several hours.
The following is a Memorial Tribute I wrote for my friend, Rose, when she passed. She was a quilter and did beautiful work. It conveys what life is all about. A STEP AT A TIME I'm glad life is given us bit by bit, In minutes, and days, and years.l If we were faced with the whole of it, How filled it would be with fears. With all its laughter and its pain, Its sorrow and joy and care, Why, even its beauty all at one time Would be more than we could bare. But God drops a bit of happiness here And lowers a shadow there. Each of us has his portion of both, The bitter and the fair, And whether the way be rough or fine, It's a comforting thing to know Just one step to take at a time, Just one little day to go. This poem has a copy write.. |

I have multiple projects going ... quilting, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, sewing. I just do whatever I'm in the mood to do at the moment! I only have two quilts going right now - one QFK and a scrappy column queen size quilt, but planning to start a new one for my son's wedding in November. I like the feeling of finishing things, but I also like variety and trying new patterns! I'm never bored! :D

You should do whatever makes you happy - that's what this passion is all about, right? However, you do need to finish your projects so you don't end up drowning in UFOs!!! Besides, you want to be able to show off what you are doing with quilting and finished quilts make that so much easier

With the little time that I have for sewing, I tend to finish one before starting another. I have really had to push myself at times because I lose interest if it takes too and long. I have so many projects I want to do and I don't want to get over-whelmed.

I like to do one project at a time and finish it before starting another big project, but things don't always work out that way -- I don't think it really matters --a matter of perference and maybe even space available -- don't sweat it -- do what you want!

Welcome to the club, I have so many projects, (quilts) started and not completed. I too jump around from one project to another. One day I will do them all.
