Another note on the first aid - when you go to a workshop or a class away from home - always have an index card with your full name, address, any allergies or medical issues and for sure an emergency contact name and phone number. Keep it where it can be easily found. You Ladies have posted some great tips on here for first aid.

The "Sew Together" bag would be perfect for a First Aid Kit. This bag is primarily designed as a sewing kit and I adore mine. It not only has 3 zippered pockets but the space between the pockets act as additional pockets. Made 4 as Christmas gifts and added sewing things, needles, thread, pins, seam ripper, tape measure, hemostats, ruler, etc. But, while I was making them I thought of eventually making another one as a First Aid kit to keep in the car.

Our Guild president made first aid kits in a quilted pouch and every month when we meet if it is your birthday you get to select one. I think it is a great idea.

One of the guilds I belong to meets in a meeting room of a local church and several months ago, suddenly during the meeting, one of the members just collapsed.....fortunately we have a nurse in the group...she literally flew over to her...she had stopped breathing, so she began cpr, while another member called emergency....and emt informed us that there was a defibrillator on premises....got it, nurse did what she had to, ambulance arrived and they stabilized. Member stayed in hospital for several days, many tests later....all ok......scary for all, especially member in stress, but I think the combo of instant med assistance and defibrillator saved her life(82).
.....and at next meeting, I'm going to bring up need for a first aid kt....

once at a meeting someone got cut. we didn't have a first aid kit. we took some fabric and wadded it up and made a bandaid out of it and masking tape. worked.

I ordered one for our guild. It was $24 and it contains just about everything you can think of. Even a mask for doing CPR.

Can you tell me where you ordered it?

It was on Amazon.
