I made these too. The book just jumped out and grabbed me! I am a hand applique enthusiast so this is my first attempt at machine. I have all the pieces cut and fused, just need to sew them down. Retreat comming up in February seems like a good concentrated time for that. Yours look a lot different from mine based on background and fabric choices and that is what makes this so cool!

Too cute, gave me a good chuckle, applique is something that takes a lot of practice but I've never been very good at it, only on small projects. Any chance you would share your "chicken" pattern"? Love it!!

These are very primitive but very cute and imaginative. I have never done applique before either. It looks like you have done a good job on your first try. I hope to get the guts to try applique as I have always wanted to have a Baltimore Album quilt. I can have such grandiose ideas. I know your next applique project will be fantastic. Jeannibelle
