Ok so I wanted to try applique this year. I'd never done it before and was kind of scared to try it. But fell in love with this book and took the plunge

There are a few things I need to top stitch on each of them but I'm so happy with them.

Be kind.

I don't know the name. My mom gave them to me cause they are colors she would never use. Sorry.

Love your chickens. They are so cute!

maggiek 01-22-2011 06:30 AM

I made these too. The book just jumped out and grabbed me! I am a hand applique enthusiast so this is my first attempt at machine. I have all the pieces cut and fused, just need to sew them down. Retreat comming up in February seems like a good concentrated time for that. Yours look a lot different from mine based on background and fabric choices and that is what makes this so cool!

nannya54 01-22-2011 06:35 AM

Those are so cute! And, you're much better at applique than I. I tried it and it's a no go. It's okay if you look at it from across a very large banquet room. Great job!

Vera Seemann 01-22-2011 06:56 AM

These are really cute. Hope my 1st attempt of applique turns out at lest somewhat as good as yours. Thanks for sharing.

PATTIESPEARL 01-22-2011 07:30 AM
