CristyK1 01-23-2011 03:05 PM

I am making the whole quilt. But I am also going to make a few of them to frame and hang up around her house. Like Chicken a la King for her bathroom, Chicken Gumbo for her kitchen and maybe Chicken Divan for her living room.

There are a few things I need to top stitch on each of them but I'm so happy with them.

Be kind.

Nice job!!! This may be a dumb question but here goes. Do you sew the applique on before or after you put the quilt back, top and batting together? In other words, do you sew through all 3 layers to do the applique?

tutty 02-19-2011 05:14 PM

Looks super to me and what fun !!! LOL

You do the applique of each square. Sew on sashing strips if using. Go from there, adding on until you have the top to the size you want. Make your quilt "sandwich" and quilt
