I am making the whole quilt. But I am also going to make a few of them to frame and hang up around her house. Like Chicken a la King for her bathroom, Chicken Gumbo for her kitchen and maybe Chicken Divan for her living room.

Nice job!!! This may be a dumb question but here goes. Do you sew the applique on before or after you put the quilt back, top and batting together? In other words, do you sew through all 3 layers to do the applique?
