thank you for posting this! I'm going to start making a quilt for my bed with a fleece backing and was wondering if it was a good idea or not. Of course, I was going to do it anyway, as my room will be freezing this winter.

So it doesn't stretch? I was going to tie it so that it wouldn't seem so stretched, but I'm also putting a small strip as one of the borders on the front and have heard it can mess up your sewing machine. This isn't true is it?

I've always wanted to use Minkee. Is it hard to sew with? It seems so stretchy. What's the trick?

it is stretchy, more so than fleece. Pin or hand baste-a lot! I have used on the back of baby quilts and just tacked the layers. i recently finished one with fmq that worked well. I use sharon schambers method of basting and had no shifting at all with the minky.
