OHHH Minkie that sounds like a good idea I have not used Minkie as a back, does I quilt up nice? Do you mid showing a photo of the one you made?

Nice modern design. In my opinion it does not need borders, looks great as is if the current size suits your purpose for it.

Great job on this! Love the pattern. Borders only if you'd like. :)

I agree. If you want it as a lap or wall quilt then you are going to OK without one. Watch out, Minkie is quite stretchy and is NOT that easy to quilt as flannel.

Thank you all for you input! I think I will do some boarders to make it fit a twin, I really had no plan when making the quilt I just wanted to try something new and these flying geese were new to me and I never had bought a kit before.

I'm liking the apple green, teal, and tangerine. Maybe fool with those colors?

Don't know about boaders but do know I like your quilt.

I really like your quilt: the colors, the design, the visual impact -- all are stunning. In my opinion, a work of art deserves a frame. Even a small white frame will give a viewer's eye a place to stop and make it focus on the center. I've learned, however, that a personal choice is always the best one. If you like a border, put one (or two) or two on. If you don't care for borders, leave them off. Either way, it's a beautiful quilt.

I like mannem's reply, very cute.
I like at least one border on most of my quilts. Usually more, really depends on the size I want it to be.
Your quilt, your decision.

I am a big fan of these modern, no border type quilts. Having said that, I almost always add borders because I never seem to think the quilt is big enough, thereby making it more traditional.

As an answer to your question - this is such a personal choice. Modern = no borders. Traditional = borders. And, is it big enough? You have an oversize lap right now. Do you need or want a lap, or do you need a twin? Borders will up the size.

Let us know what you decide to do.
