To fly (are you ready for this?) takes 8 !!
What a laugh.
Who'd want to fly if driving is quicker (and cheaper)?

You'll also need your car to pack those wonderful things you buy...

I agree - I want to drive to Houston this fall so I can have all that room in the car for purchases (about 12 hours).

I'm in Ohio too and it takes about 6 hours. It's a nice drive. Not bad at all.

Is there a time change in there also? I know the timeline is west of us here at Knoxville.. Not sure just where it falls.

Yes, Paducah is in the Central Time zone. They are an hour behind us here in the Eastern Time zone. Something to remember!

I understand that Paducah is a place where a car would not be a bad thing.

Yeah, you would have a layover somewhere. I live in Lexington and there are no direct flights to Denver where the rest of my family live. You take a small "puddle jumper" to one of the big airports and go from there. I'm sure Paducah's airport is small like ours. By the way how far in advance did you book your hotel? Way back in August I looked into it and there was not a room to be found!

I am going with a bus from a LQS. Get there rested, and can rest on the way back as well. Also saves me from buying too much to carry around and lug home! But I can order stuff and have it shipped home!
