No wonder the airlines can't make any $$. They fly you all over the world to get 300 miles down the road (LOL).

My husband and I flew to Alaska a couple of years ago to take a cruise down the coast, guess how long it took? First, they flew us to Chicago??? way south of us, and then north over our city to Alaska, almost missed the ship, the airlane lose hubby's luggage somewhere in Chicago...he was NOT happy, didn't get it til next morn .
After 15 hrs of flying, then had to take 2 hr bus ride to ship, missed dinner with Captain....etc.. what a fiasco...

To fly (are you ready for this?) takes 8 !!
What a laugh.
Who'd want to fly if driving is quicker (and cheaper)?

makes no sense.

I can't even get there from here. I'd probably have to drive 7 hours to Denver to get a flight and the drive to Paducah is right at 16 hours. I guess that's what you get when you live in the back of beyond.
