I found a note I wrote to myself on the refrigerator:
stabilizer-
non-knit interfacing
fusible, woven type
cardboard template _ size of block plus 1/2" seam allowance
Double quilt 48-63 (6x8) or (7x9) grid
Q - 8x9 or 9x10, 72-63

Have no clue what I was thinking of. Do you find these type of notes too?

Annaquilts 05-07-2011 08:06 AM

Hmmm sounds like you are making something.Hehehehe

DebraK 05-07-2011 08:07 AM

lol, constantly ;-)

maryb119 05-07-2011 08:10 AM

Sounds like my refigerator. You never know what you will find stuck on it.

trif 05-07-2011 08:21 AM

If you remember, write yourself a new note to say what the project is your going to make. I'm a write myself a note girl, I usually tape them to the door so when I leave I see, I hope you figure out what it was for.

bluteddi 05-07-2011 08:28 AM

Once a note gets written, I never see it again.. I think Zipster the Supervisor eats them... smile

sueisallaboutquilts 05-07-2011 08:38 AM

Too funny!! Thanks for the chuckle. Glad I'm not the only one! :D:D

peaceandjoy 05-07-2011 08:44 AM

Sadly, yes. Not usually quilt related, but @ work. I'll find a phone number (with no name). Or a name with no reason for it.

Never used to need notes. Started to need notes, and now it seems I need more detailed notes.

irishrose 05-07-2011 09:23 AM

I use made up abbreviations, then can't decipher them when I get to the store. The one that comes to mind is non cr dd. I was stumped. Finally, I realized I needed dish detergent without moisturizers in it for washing the grass. That was last year. Now I need more, so maybe I'll write it out this year.

dunster 05-07-2011 09:27 AM

I often find a phone number, with or without a name, no clue who they belong to. I've thought about calling and asking, but decided that would be just too weird.

ptquilts 05-07-2011 09:28 AM

I found a note in DH's handwriting, list of numbers and letters. Showed it to him, he has no idea what it means. I am not throwing it out until one of us figures it out.

Sadheart 05-07-2011 12:18 PM

LMAO Thank you for the laugh. Maybe not intended that way.
But we are all so human.
HUGS to ALL !!!!!!!

And I thought I was the only one who did that

Leota 05-07-2011 02:45 PM

Next question....
did you get the stuff on the list????
ha ha... I always et the stuff but forget why I needed it...

samifel 05-07-2011 03:07 PM

Yep, scary isn't it?

justwannaquilt 05-07-2011 03:25 PM

I don't really write notes like that HOWEVER I do have little pieces of paper on my fridge with info on stitch type, length, and width on them. I know I should just sew on a piece of muslin or something and then write the info with a marker on the fabric but wouldn't that just be to easy? Then I have to go through and remember which stitch was for which project! lol

Jammin' Jane 05-07-2011 03:28 PM

Oh yeah! Been there, done that!

Wow - you wash your grass? LOL

Carol's Quilts 05-07-2011 03:33 PM

You will remember exactly what the notes were for as soon as you throw them away! Ask me how I know!

OneMoreQuilt 05-07-2011 03:36 PM

Oh yes! Especially in the notebook in my purse.

Tropical 05-07-2011 05:20 PM

All of the time. :)

All too often - but from your list were you thinking of a T shirt quilt possibly.

  :?:

jitkaau 05-08-2011 02:55 AM

Mostly, I find telephone numbers or emails and then I have to figure out what i may have promised to do for them...(?)

CompulsiveQuilter 05-08-2011 03:20 AM

I find full sheets with number scribbles all over it! My husband calls it my "Beautiful Mind" projects, if you remember that movie

redmadder 05-08-2011 03:23 AM

I find index cards in with the scraps, giving measurements, how many to cut etc. But what was I making?

jpmaroni 05-08-2011 03:23 AM

LOL, it's happening more frequently now!

quilt3311 05-08-2011 03:49 AM

Oh yes, sounds like me, now I try to make a quick sketch on the paper when jotting down measurements etc. I find the sketch reminds me of what I was thinking at the time.

WI Rose 05-08-2011 04:31 AM

I make notes as I'm watching TV and when I come back later, I either can't read them or understand them.

Fabaddict 05-08-2011 04:50 AM

sounds like supplies for a T-Shirt quilt

vickimc 05-08-2011 04:55 AM

I am thinking t-shirt quilt too. I just did one, sound like it.

ncredbird 05-08-2011 04:58 AM

Shoot, yes! It is getting to the point that I need to get a hall pass to go to the ladies room. Like right now. I was in the kitchen doing the dishes. DH called me into my computer room because he couldn't find something he was looking for. Then I had to check my messages on the computer. Have to put in a load of laundry. Now I need to go to the ladies room.
My whole goal this morning was to get the kitchen cleaned before I went outside to work in the yard. May never get there at this rate.

I'M WITH YOU I FIND THEM WITH THE MATERIAL AND PATTERN AND HAVE NO IDEA

oldswimmer 05-08-2011 05:25 AM

So glad to know many of you do this too! Whew....thought I was the ONLY one!

sew_sew 05-08-2011 05:30 AM

What I find most are telephone numbers on scraps of paper or the back of envelopes with no hint as to whose number it was.

MillieMoseley 05-08-2011 05:37 AM

LOL more than I like to admit.

Ramona Byrd 05-08-2011 05:55 AM

OH, Yes. Frequently. And then there was the long message I printed out about doing something with someone but I had to remember to take along a plant, one that I hadn't dug up yet.

I do remember promising someone a rather unusual plant start I have, but no idea of whom, where s/he is or who s/he is and why that special plant. And when I wrote it, s/he might not even be in the state now, the paper looks old...I've been staring at that piece of paper for days now, stuck it on the fridge. I'll give myself another day and then toss it, and as soon as the garbage truck wheels down the street I'll remember who, but not what I was supposed to give them. Probably take the wrong plant and they won't even remember wanting it, but will be gracious and accept it.

That's happening rather often lately.

Sheree from Chicago 05-08-2011 05:55 AM

Smiling from ear to ear!!!!!!!!!!

Marysewfun 05-08-2011 08:44 AM

Oh, thank you - I am human after all!! I am always doing that!! Or because I can't find the first note - and I just thought of something additional, I start a NEW note. If they all get together like a puzzle, it'll have full meaning - - maybe. :-)

ruck9085 05-08-2011 08:47 AM

All the time!! LOL!

mimee4 05-08-2011 09:23 AM

I have always been a list maker to the chagrin of my family. I've even kept some of them in a notebook. And yes, I frequently don't know what I wrote and why. Join the club.
