I agree, thanks for the post with the information. I have a bottle of Fray check somewhere. Haven't used it in a very long time.

I just use Fray Check on the ends of my seams when using my serger. These seams are always on the inside & are not noticeable to anyone. Don't have any problems using it for this purpose.

Thanks for that info! I was going to buy some this weekend to see how it compared to Sew Secure, which doesn't discolor or glob. You just saved me time and money! Yeah! Thanks!

I've never heard of Sew Secure. Where would I find it?
Thanks,

Sew Secure? I Googled it, but I was unable to find out anything about it. Can you tell us where you bought it or give us a link? Thanks

That is what I use also. I found out they have it in a bottle with brush applicator now, also. Haven't tried the latter as yet. I use it mostly for applique, when I have a tight curve and too many cuts to make the turn. I put Fray Block along the curve after stitching, just for insurance.

I also use this product for all ravelly edges. The directions say to hold it under hot running water for three minutes. I heat a mug of hot water and put the tube in for the three minutes, and to reheat as it cools off.

I never use Fray Check anymore. If I need to use something, I use Fray Block which dries soft.

Thanks for this info. I used fray check this weekend and wasn't satisfied with it. Will get some fray block!

Is the name Sew Secure correct? I can't find any info about this product, past or present.

I serge A LOT and use FC all the time. As you said a little dab on the seam join poses no problems for me. Haven't trued anything else. FC is readily available.

Me too. Might be helpful to keep some alcohol swabs around. The ones that come in individual packets ( Drs office) Costco and all drugstores have them.
